History:
Everything is big in Texas, and nothing has been bigger than the phenomenal success story generated by Virginia Cook, Realtors.
When Virginia Cook left her 30-year tenure as president of one of the leading independent real estate firms in 1999, it was called the "Biggest Real Estate Executive Move of the Year" by the largest daily newspaper in the region.
The New Company Opens its Doors
That headline move was eclipsed a few months later as Virginia Cook, Realtors burst upon the real estate scene with three architecturally-distinctive offices strategically located along the Preston Road corridor in Park Cities, North Dallas and Plano. Established with the objective of setting new standards in the industry, each office was a case study of superior design, operating systems and technology.
Within six months, the company’s roster of associates swelled to 100 experienced Realtors, sharing the vision of Virginia Cook and Sheila Rice for delivering world class service in a local market. These founding associates of Virginia Cook, Realtors represent the top performers in the local market.
Moving Downtown
Before the company had celebrated its first anniversary, it opened its fourth office to serve the thriving Intown Dallas market where the surging demand for a cosmopolitan lifestyle was evident in the white hot sales pace of condos, townhomes and other urban properties.
Resort and Lake Properties
Identifying the growing interest in Grayson county, a beautiful region offering prime opportunities for commercial investments and resort properties, Virginia Cook, Realtors merged with the Number One real estate company in the area in June of 2002. The move resulted in the addition of 60 valued associates and offices in Sherman, Denison, Tanglewood resort at Lake Texoma, and Pottsboro.
Moving West
Virginia Cook, Realtors continued its rapid expanse throughout North Texas by opening an office in Irving in October, 2002, to serve the corporate hub of Las Colinas as well as the surrounding communities of Southlake, Colleyville, Grapevine, Keller, Flower Mound and the Mid-Cities between Dallas and Fort Worth.
The company’s position in the Mid-Cities and beyond was cemented with the opening of a stunning office in Fort Worth at the end of 2005.
Specialized Markets
While providing the most comprehensive real estate service to homebuyers and sellers through its exemplary agents, its industry-leading Global Relocation Division, a leading edge Technology department, award-winning in-house Marketing Department and on-site Mortgage services, Virginia Cook, Realtors has also established specialized divisions dedicated to serving exclusive niche markets. Backed by vast company resources, associates in these divisions are uniquely qualified to provide unrivalled expertise to meet the needs of a sophisticated clientele base.
