The Dallas Chapter of the Real Estate Staging Association (RESA) has launched its first Metroplex wide spring charity drive “March Madness Spring Cleaning.” During the month of March – April 15th, RESA Dallas will join forces with Realtors throughout the Metroplex encouraging clients and community residents to donate unwanted new and gently used household items to The Genesis Women’s Shelter, serving greater Dallas, and The SafeHaven of Tarrant County.

“Home stagers and real estate agents work as a team toward the common goal of getting homes sold. It’s a natural fit for RESA Dallas to combine efforts with Realtors to give back to the community,” Karen Eubank, RESA Dallas President and owner of Eubank Staging, said. “March marks the beginning of the spring real estate market. Homeowners are preparing to sell, some are re-designing and everyone has that spring-cleaning fever! This is a perfect opportunity for our clients and the community at large to support two wonderful organizations.”

For 25 years, Genesis Women’s Shelter of Greater Dallas has provided victims of domestic violence safety, shelter, and strength through crisis intervention, as well as free and confidential counseling to over 25,000 women and children.

SafeHaven of Tarrant County (SHTC) is one of the largest shelters for women and children in Texas with facilities in Arlington and Fort Worth. SHTC’s mission is to end domestic violence through safety, support, prevention, social change, and to help women achieve independence and self-sufficiency.

“Home staging is a female dominated industry and supporting women is important to us,” Stefanie Levine, RESA Dallas Publicity Chair and President of Niptuck Home Staging & Re-Design of Mansfield, said. “This month it’s all about enhancing the lives and homes of women and children coming out of crisis situations.”

Virginia Cook, Realtors will be accepting donations from the real estate community and residents at our Fort Worth office:

2900 S. Hulen Suite 10
Fort Worth, TX 76109
817-665-1222

Tax donation slips will be available.

The women shelters are in need of the following items: women and children’s clothing, professional attire, toiletries, school supplies, children’s toys, books, and games, baby items, linens, and small household items. For a complete list of items please visit www.genesisshelter.org and www.safehaventc.org

But it was worth the sweat as Ronnie Cole of the Sherman/Denison office participated in the Hotter 'N Hell 100 bike rally in Wichita Falls in August and helped raise $40,000 for Grace Children’s Hospital in Port Au Prince, Haiti . Ronnie rode the 50 mile course as a member of a 40-person team pedaling for this good cause. With 14,000 riders, the Hotter ‘N Hell ride is the largest one-day bike rally in the world!

Mary O'Keefe works tirelessly this time of year raising awareness, contributions, and support among Virginia Cook, Realtors for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. This year's race is scheduled for October 16th at Northpark Mall in Dallas. We also welcome participation from our clients, families, and friends.

Here is Mary's call to action:

Hi everyone.   It is that time of the year again - football season, fall foliage, and RACE FOR THE CURE.  Let's show our support again for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure here in Dallas on Saturday, October 16th at Northpark Mall in Dallas, Texas.

Whether you join the team for $35.00 or pledge your support to a team member, you are an important part of finding a cure for breast cancer.   We invite you to either walk, run, or sleep in for the cure.   It's your choice!!  No matter what you do YOU are an important part of our team in helping finding a cure for breast cancer.

My mom passed away this past Friday at the age of 93 and was diagnosed with breast cancer at 80 and beat it.  I know there are several people in our company who have also beat breast cancer.  With your support you can help other people beat it too!

Please join our team "Chicks for the Cure" or make a donation by supporting a team member.
