Numerous committee positons have been served by Jan including: GDAR Chairperson of the Education Committee, GDAR Chairperson of the MLS Committee, Greater Metro MLS (GMMLS) Chairperson, was appointed to represent GDAR as a Director of the North Texas Real Estate Information Systems (NTREIS), and was elected to serve as a director for a two-year term on the MetroTex Board of Directors. By invitation only, she has served on the Realtor Advisory Board for the Billingsley Corporation.

Education is important to Jan. Additional designations include the Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI), Referral and Relocation Certification (RRC), Historic House Specialist Certification (HHSC) from Preservation Dallas, Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES), and she is a graduate of the Greater Dallas Association of Realtors' one-year Leadership program.
