“We are dedicated to delivering an exceptional home buying or selling experience to every person served by Virginia Cook, Realtors.”
- Mary Jo Berryman

If you know Fort Worth real estate, you know Mary Jo Berryman.

In a stellar career spanning three decades, Mary Jo has played an instrumental role in the progress of her industry and community.

Named one of the Great Women in Texas by the Business Press, Mary Jo earned the Greater Fort Worth Association of Realtors’ Distinguished Service Award in 2002 and was president of the organization in 1996.

A director of the Texas Association of Realtors for the past 12 years, Mary Jo was presented with the state association’s Distinguished Service Award in 2003. She is currently serving as president of the Texas Chapter of Certified Residential Brokers.

“Mary Jo is an industry icon who has truly made a difference in our industry, in Fort Worth and in the lives and careers of each person she has mentored and managed,” says Virginia Cook, Chief Executive Officer of Virginia Cook, Realtors. “Her vision, expertise and experience translate into exceptional service to every home buyer or seller our Fort Worth team serves.”

And service to others has always been a core value for this dynamic businesswoman.

Born and raised in Fort Worth, Mary Jo earned her real estate sales license in 1970 and quickly became a multi-million-dollar producing Realtor by helping hundreds of families put their own roots down in her beloved hometown.  She was promoted into management, where she’s been the spark that has ignited the success of many of Fort Worth’s most respected and trusted Realtors.

While loyally leading her sales team, Mary Jo has been equally generous to a staggering list of civic organizations and a staunch supporter of the arts.  Her activities include lengthy tenures on the board of directors of the Tarrant County Association of the Blind, the Junior League of Fort Worth and the Tarrant County Cancer Society.

A past president of the Pi Beta Phi Alumnae Club, she is currently a member of the Fort Worth Lecture Foundation, All Saints Episcopal Church, Historic Fort Worth, Tarrant County Historical Society, Modern Museum of Art, Amon Carter Museum and the Kimbell Museum.

Mary Jo continues her legacy of leadership and service as the Vice President Branch Manager of the Fort Worth office of Virginia Cook, Realtors.
