Melinda Knecht

The skills and talent that Melinda Knecht displayed during a distinguished career as a public school administrator now enable her to provide stellar service to Dallas area home buyers and sellers. Throughout her 30-year tenure in public education Melinda became a respected specialist in these and many other areas of expertise.

Melinda began her career with the Dallas Public Schools as a secondary mathematics teacher and retired as executive director of Campus Data Support. With a strong entrepreneurial drive and interest in real estate investment, she began preparing for a real estate career during her final years in public education. With an eye for detail and strong planning, organizational and finance skills, Melinda is now valued by clients and colleagues alike for her ability to nurture smooth, successful transactions. She also brings the ability to connect with people from all walks of life. As a result, her communication and negotiation skills are superbly effective.

Melinda holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Southern Mississippi and a master’s degree in liberal arts from Southern Methodist University. A retired member of the Dallas School Administrator’s Association, she is an active volunteer for the Susan B. Koman Foundation. She has also worked tirelessly in community activities such as the Dallas County Mental Health Association, the Dallas Zoo, St. Patrick’s Elementary School PTA and the Dallas Public Schools Youth Art Month.

Melinda is married to her college sweetheart, Gary, and they have two adult children and three grandchildren. A native of Mississippi, she has lived in Dallas with her husband since 1968. In her spare time, Melinda enjoys traveling, reading, writing, sailing, cooking, the arts, personal fitness and spending time with family.
