Myra Fischel

Myra Fischel listed her first home her first week in real estate. And she sold that house in one day. This dynamic businesswoman hasn’t skipped a beat since that momentous week over 28 years ago as she has become one of the area’s most respected Realtors by helping hundreds of home buyers and sellers meet their goals.

A former domestic relations court counselor for Dallas county, Myra credits her success to a natural instinct for reaching out to others. “Social work and real estate make great partners,” says Myra, who holds a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Texas. “Being able to take control of challenging situations and help others make clear decisions under stress has been extremely beneficial.”

A keen memory for details and highly tuned listening skills have also proven helpful in her career.

“Myra listens to the needs of her clients and goes to great lengths to meet those needs,” says Sheila Rice, executive vice president and founding partner. “Her ability to remember virtually every detail of every home in her market has been a great asset in making the perfect match between buyers and sellers.”

Myra’s high rate of referrals is a direct testament to these abilities as she assists related families and friends time and again. In one case, seven different transactions have transpired within one family unit.

Married to Bert Fischel, Myra draws additional strength from the marketing support provided by her husband. She also maintains a high profile in the industry as a writer for the publications of the National and Texas Association of Realtors and is a member of the Professional Standards Committee. The Fischel's have grown children and grandchildren.

Although Myra left her job as a court counsler years ago, she contiinues to work within the community. She and her husband have been honored for their efforts with the prestigious Community Relations Award presented by the American Jewish Committee.

As an active volunteer in the Dallas community, Myra has served in leadership roles in many civic organizations, such as Temple Emanu-El, Vickery Meadow Food Pantry, Jacob's Ladder, Morton Meyerson Symphony Center Docent. In 2009, she received the top award given by NCJW for Leadership.
