“Real estate success is not about how much you sell, it’s about how well you serve.”       -Stephen Collins

Specializing in a specific geographic area.
Knowing the competition.
And being a good listener.

It all adds to success and respect as an industry leader for Stephen Collins, a top performer in residential sales.

“Although Stephen has achieved the status as the Top Producer of our company, he is an industry ambassador for the message that our business is not about production, it’s about leadership and good service,” says Virginia Cook, Chief Executive Officer. “In all that Stephen does, he puts others first.”

Stephen began his career 24 years ago with the decision to focus upon a specific geographic area.  Specializing in the Preston Hollow, Park Cities and surrounding neighborhoods, Stephen has since served a loyal base of clients who have depended upon his market expertise throughout as many as four different moves.

“It’s difficult to be an expert on everything, so I decided to work on just a handful of sub-markets and know these areas as well or better than anyone else” says Stephen.  “I’m constantly touring all of the listings and watching market trends that affect my clients.”

Knowing what the competition is doing also helps him to position his home buying and selling customers for the best results in their transaction.  Equally important is the very simple, but often-underused skill of listening.

“Truly listening to my customers helps me zero in on their wants and needs,” Stephen explains.  “Those wants and needs can change as a search or listing progresses, so it’s vital to keep listening and stay focused on what the customer is saying and feeling.”

Stephen is also proud to cite one more factor contributing to his success in real estate.  “I have the best assistant in the world, my mother, who is the most organized person I know,” he says of Mary Ann Collins.

A graduate of Cistercian Preparatory School, Stephen earned a degree in economics from Dartmouth College. In addition to serving his clients, he supports numerous fundraising endeavors and is a board member of Marillac and involved at Shelton School and Bishop Lynch.
