Val launched her real estate career in Houston, where she quickly became a member of the Million Dollar Sales Club. She relocated to Dallas and joined a large firm in 1976, and by 1982 had opened her own company.

Always upholding the highest standards of professionalism and ethics and insisting that her agents do the same, Val inspired the success of Fenwick & Associates for more than 26 years. Her company was recognized for its expertise in executive relocation as it assisted a national and international clientele base.

While operating her own company, training hundreds of agents and serving her own clients, Val has made time to give back to the industry and community. She served on the Board of Directors and as Co-Chairman of the Professional Standards and Ethics Committee of the Collin County Association of Realtors, and has been a member of the Board of Directors of the North Texas Real Estate Systems, Inc., which operates the regional MLS.

Val has also been an advocate for professional development, and has earned numerous designations including the Accredited Buyers Representative, Certified Residential Specialist, Senior Residential Specialist and Certified Relocation Professional.
