Virginia Cook, Realtors is proud to announce its 20th anniversary as a locally owned, independent real estate brokerage serving North Texas.
"We credit our amazing management team, skillful agents and valued clients for our longevity and success," said Sheila Rice, President. "But, we’re just getting started. Accomplishments during the past year alone provide a strong foundation for launching the next chapter in our history."
A Forward Focus
Achievements in 2018 include a brand refresh with new signage, and the first Installation of nationally-acclaimed Ninja Sales System. The company also hired Jill Reagor-Smith as Vice President/Manager of the Plano office and secured new relocation clients and projects.
Additionally, the company is implementing a fully integrated technology platform with a single sign-on that will comprehensively access electronic signatures, MLS Services, transaction management, client portals, email marketing and many additional resources.
"From search to closing, our agents will work more efficiently, smarter and facilitate more business with an incredibly high level of customer satisfaction," said Mrs. Rice.
“In 2019, we move forward, completely united by a commitment to excellence, a drive to surpass all previous business goals, and the unwavering concern and care for our clients that has defined our company since we opened in 1999."
Built on a 20-Year Legacy
The company began in 1999 when founders, Virginia Cook and Mrs. Rice, strategically opened with three offices along the Preston Road Golden corridor in North Dallas, Park Cities and Plano. Within the first year, a fourth Intown Dallas office was opened, followed by merging with the Number One real estate firm in Grayson County in 2002, and the addition of a Fort Worth location in 2006.
Always jumping in front of emerging trends, the company launched Granite Mortgage, later forging a partnership with Kay Wilkinson and Shelter Mortgage that has evolved into today's affiliation with Caliber Home Loans.
While focusing on providing excellent service to thousands of home buyers and sellers throughout two decades, Virginia Cook, Realtors and its leadership have earned many accolades.
Ms. Cook was presented with the Distinguished Service Award by the National Association of Realtors (NAR) in 2003. In 2006, she was named one of real estate’s 25 Most Influential Thought Leaders by NAR and presented the 2006 Ebby Halliday Leadership and Service Award by the Dallas Chapter of Women’s Council of Realtors.
Successfully weathering the Great Recession that swept across America and took many real estate firms with it, Virginia Cook, Realtors continued to thrive with strong leadership and innovative strategies.
As a result, Ms. Cook was named one of the Top 25 Most Influential Women in U.S. Real Estate, and Mrs. Rice was named the 2009 Entrepreneur of the Year by the Dallas Chapter of the Women’s Council of Realtors. The company also became a member of the Leading Real Estate Companies of the World®, a prestigious global broker-to-broker referral network.
Another important milestone was reached in 2010, when the company celebrated its first decade in business by joining forces with a prominent name in real estate: David Griffin & Company, Realtors.
Founded in 1982, this group of talented agents is led by David Griffin, an authority on the architecturally distinctive, historic and landmark properties of Dallas.
The housing market came roaring back by 2010, with North Texas reigning as one of the Top housing markets in the nation, and the company consistently breaking annual sales records.
In 2015, Mrs. Cook was named Woman of the Year by Les Femmes Du Monde of Dallas and the company's international presence was expanded through an affiliation with the United Kingdom's Mayfair International Realty network and office in London's exclusive West End District.
