Open Arms Health Clinic...

Compassionate, high quality care. That’s what adults and children who are uninsured and under-insured can expect at this free, faith-based nonprofit clinic located in a new office at 3311 Little Road, Arlington.

Open Arms is 100% funded by grants and donations and staffed by volunteers -- including our own Julie Castleberry.  Since 2011, Open Arms has provided over 9,000 visits thanks to the army of dedicated doctors, nurses, physical therapists, social workers, counselors, physician assistants and students from UTA and Martin High School who want to be in the medical field.  “One of my favorite parts about Open Arms is that as the doctors and nurses are treating the patients, they are also training our next generation of medical providers.”

In addition to volunteering at the clinic, Julie helps organize an Annual Gala to raise funds.  Want to make a donation or volunteer? Contact Julie! You can also learn more at openarmshealthclinic.org.

Virginia Cook, Realtors Installs Nationally-Acclaimed Ninja Selling System

In a fast-moving housing market like North Texas, knowledge is power whether you are a home buyer, seller or real estate professional.

That’s why Virginia Cook, Realtors® has invested in a comprehensive Professional Development Program with recent opportunities including the nationally-acclaimed Ninja Selling System Installation, presented October 1-4 at the Belo Mansion in Dallas.

“After thorough research, we were so impressed by this system for improving your business and quality of life that we knew we must offer it to our agents,” said Sheila Rice, President of Virginia Cook, Realtors®. “We understand that we’re the first brokerage in the D/FW area to do so.”

In fact, upon learning that Virginia Cook, Realtors® was offering Ninja Selling, industry leaders in other markets asked if they could attend. This included Avis Wukasch, Chairman of the Texas Real Estate Commission, who is based in Austin.

“I had been studying Ninja Selling on my own and was thrilled to be able to personally participate in the four-day installation,” said Wukasch. “Ninja Selling is based on philosophy of building relationships by treating people the way you want to be treated. That means listening to the customer and helping them achieve their goals. It is less about selling and more about creating value.”

Why is it Called Ninja Selling?
Ninja Selling is named after one of the partners who helped develop the system, Jim Dunlap. He was nicknamed “The Ninja” by the staff in his office in Ft. Collins, Colorado, because he had a great sales volume, great customer satisfaction and referrals, and still had a life outside of his career. With the highest income per hour of any salesperson in the company, he began teaching his system to colleagues in his office and other companies in Colorado.

Ninja Selling Mission
Today, those results enjoyed by Dunlap are the mission of Ninja Selling: Increase your income per hour; Increase your customer satisfaction; and Improve the quality of your life.

“Ninja Selling uses an ‘installation’ approach versus a ‘training’ approach because if applied correctly, it becomes an amazing way of life,” said Rice. “The results measured across every Ninja Graduate show a sustained 20% or more increase in income with many producing a 40% or higher increase.”

Beyond the business results, Ninja Selling is a good fit for Virginia Cook, Realtors because its core values mirror the values of the locally-owned and independent brokerage.

“As we head into our 20th Anniversary year, we remain grounded by Virginia Cook’s unwavering principals of love, care and concern for our clients and each other,” said Rice. “Add the Ninja Selling System to these timeless values, and we expect 2019 to be our best year yet.”

Giving Children Back Their Childhood.

That's the mission of Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.

And that means more than providing world-renowned medical care. It also means presenting successful fundraisers like the Summer Colors Silent Auction on July 26.

Summer Colors was founded in 2009 to raise awareness about the hospital and its patients, while exposing the Dallas community to up and coming artists. Each local artist donates original work to the auction, and all proceeds benefit the hospital.

Our Park Cities Team has enjoyed participating in Summer Colors the past four years, and we congratulate the organizers for their good work in our community.
