"Her business is built upon this important value and enriched by her real estate expertise and deep roots in Grayson County."
As a real estate professional, Donna Skaggs Johnson continues a rich family history of service to the community.
"Donna was raised on the principle that we must give back to others," says Virginia Cook, founding partner of Virginia Cook, Realtors.
Born and raised in Denison where she has lived most of her life, Donna works with an in-depth knowledge of not only the real estate market, but all of the important things in life like the schools, parks and recreation, medical and childcare facilities, and employment opportunities.
Most of those things her own family helped to establish or improve. Her grandfather, William Lafayette Ashburn, Jr., was Mayor of Denison and was on the committee for building the dam at Lake Texoma. Her uncle, Bill Ashburn, III, is still active in the area as a former City Councilman and member of virtually every committee, and her parents, Ryal and Peggy Skaggs, were both educators in the Denison School system and active in the community.
"It is important to me that my clients and customers know that I will take care of them like my own family," says Donna. "Part of my own service to the community means helping newcomers and long-time residents alike make the best real estate investment possible in the neighborhood that is best for them."
With a master's degree in Educational Administration and principal certification, Donna has worked in the Denison, Sherman and Pottsboro school systems. She has valuable experience as an entrepreneur who opened and operated a food business and can guide clients in choosing the right commercial properties.
"Virginia Cook, Realtors provides everything possible to help me meet the needs of my clients," says Donna. "This is a company that is committed to also making a positive contribution to our community and every person who calls Grayson County home."
